Il programma di Riccardo Iacona "La scuola fallita" (Presadiretta del 14 febbraio, Rai 3) ha messo bene in evidenza lo stato di sofferenza in cui versa la scuola pubblica (statale) italiana, riprendendo con grande obiettività e realismo temi che erano già stati affrontati qualche tempo fa in un servizio analogo da Milena Gabanelli. Sono stati toccati – in maniera chiara, semplice ed essenziale - alcuni punti critici del funzionamento delle scuole statali di ogni ordine e grado, oggi in grave difficoltà.
Scuole pubbliche sull’orlo di una crisi di nervi
Docenti precari, anche di non tenera età e dopo anni e anni di servizio saltuario, in cerca di un posto fisso che non arriva. Supplenti annuali che si spostano in continuazione da una scuola all’altra, da un capo all’altro del paese, senza alcuna continuità didattica per gli alunni.
Dirigenti scolastici che non possono chiamare i supplenti per mancanza di fondi. Classi senza insegnante che vengono quotidianamente divise e gruppi di alunni parcheggiati in altre classi, con evidente disagio per tutti e disturbo per la didattica.
Riduzione degli insegnanti in organico, tagli alle cattedre e diminuzione delle ore di attività didattica. Impossibilità di svolgere attività per gruppi di alunni grazie al taglio delle compresenze nella primaria. Meno insegnanti e meno ore di sostegno per gli alunni disabili.
Stato penoso degli edifici scolastici, sovente non a norma, fatiscenti e pericolosi. Incrostazioni, perdite d’acqua e aule al freddo. Mancanza di arredi, a cominciare dalle sedie. Mancanza di spazi, aule ristrette e sovraffollate.
